1. This week, sharing a very pretty splurge item, this gold necklace from Gucci.
I love this chain – I love paper clip chains in general and this is a very nice one. The facets on each link make it shimmery in the light; I also think it is the perfect length. Price is not great but in line with luxury in general. Lovely!
2. I liked this article, via the NYT, on how to choose a wall color.
3. I thought this profile of Jenna Lyons, via The Cut, was awesome. She is my favorite this season. The British lady is second (for TV entertainment value).
4. A nice short column, via the NYT, about when/how a style becomes a “classic.”
5. This week I read Call Me By Your Name, by Andre Aciman.
Damn. I don’t know why I didn’t read this before. It is spectacular. Moving, beautifully written, a classic. If you’re looking for some great literature, to feel something, to get lost in a literary treasure – I highly recommend Call Me By Your Name.
