Some Thanksgiving Sales

Hi everyone, and for US readers, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a combination of Chinese takeout and Whole Foods takeout with just a few slices of turkey and all the sides, which turned out absolutely fine (great!).

Since sale season kicked off this week in earnest (FINALLY, I feel like it’s been a long time actually, I guess compared to all the fire sales of 2020) I wanted to post some of my picks by store. I’ll update this over the weekend as I have time, and I’ll also share what I bought later on. I won’t have a weekend update this week, but I hope most of you are spending time with loved ones and getting some time to eat and relax, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not.

Net-A-Porter: An adorable furry Toteme scarf, a pretty Nanushka cut out top, gray suede boots from By Far, and Birkenstock x Proenza Arizonas, now 50% off (!)

Everlane: The cashmere beanie above, now $36 (I have this from a few years back and it is one of my two go to winter hats), an organic flannel shirt that looks very toasty, now $56, and their popular duvet puffer, now $173. Oh and also this cloud knit crewneck sweater – I like the fabrication with a merino/cotton blend, likely less itchy.

Uniqlo: The usual ultra light down items, but also this year I’m more looking at Heattech – I notice the camisole above is a new addition this year, as well as the usual crewnecks.

Matches: Shearling lined boots from Jimmy Choo, classic tortoiseshell Ray Ban Wayfarers, a classic straw tote from Loewe, and a tiger print sleeping bag coat from Norma Kamali.

Ssense: Heeled sandals from The Row (above), patent Repetto mary janes, and a sexy tank dress from Toteme.

Backcountry: Because I’m in the Bay Area! This great Patagonia Nano Puff jacket, and a cool orange jacket/coat from Arcteryx.

Nordstrom: They don’t have as much designer stuff. There’s a Khaite shirtdress (above), a mini zip bag from Mansur Gavriel, and a very cute oversize Nike cropped sweatshirt.

Neiman Marcus: A draped top from The Row (above – the skirt is also on sale), leopard sandals from Aquazzura, on deep discount, and an organza dress from Ulla Johnson.

Madewell: 30% off everything, which I think is very good as it includes a lot of stuff which normally doesn’t go on sale. These plaid trousers above are back in stock in all sizes (I ordered to try, am excited as I love grandpa pants). Their denim is also 30% off and that rarely happens – it usually excluded from codes.

What are you buying for Black Friday? Anything?
