I like these! I like pearl sandals/shoes in general as well as rhinestone ones but am always worried I’ll kick the pearls off – these are inexpensive enough that I won’t be devastated if something happened. I also think they just look cute without being an overly Chanel ripoff. A fun easy item to add interest to outfits.

5. This week, I read This Is Pleasure, by Mary Gaitskill.
I really enjoyed this one. It is short – I think basically a novella, with alternating points of view of a literary editor who has been accused as part of #MeToo. I would say up front that this is a murky book, in that the sides are presented with some nuance – I found it thought provoking, but it’s not say, a feel good beach read. But if you’re looking for a literary fiction on the shorter side, I highly recommend This Is Pleasure.
