Weekend Update

Sale PSA: An adorable sweater from Madewell, now under $100, chic driving loafers from Tod’s, now 40% off, and a seamless down coat from Uniqlo, now $130.

1. This week, sharing this great bag from COS.

I know this bag has been around for a while but I’ve been resisting as I already have a similar Row bag. However the price is so nice and I love the dark brown! I’ve always been happy with my COS items so strongly considering this one.

2. An interesting article, via the NYT: Who Will Take Your Old Cashmere? I at least like that there’s finally an easy way to recycle cashmere – I have a few that I’ll be sending off shortly!

3. I thought this list, via The Cut, of the new “rules” for social situations interesting to go through. To be honest I liked the actual inputs from celebrities/well known people the most (like Lauren Santo Domingo and Amy Sedaris) – some of the others in the actual article seemed a little pretentious/over the top. But what do I know??

4. I enjoyed this short piece, via the NYT, about how to dress like a designer (hint: a lot of black).

5. This week I read Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing, by Matthew Perry.

In short, I really liked this one. It was great, and well written (especially as he didn’t use a ghostwriter….which is frankly amazing!). Of course I like the show Friends – but I’m not a MEGA fan – and still I really enjoyed this. If you’re looking for a good autobiography, I highly recommend Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

I have the Cos Crossbody. I bought the black one in 2001 and the red one this year. I love them both.

Thanks for sharing about the COS bag. I do have The Row banana bag in nylon, and I’ve been wanting another one as I like the style. Considered getting the Lemaire croissant, but I don’t really want to spend $$$ on it. LOL. There’s a Uniqlo version which in my head is designed by the folks from Lemaire (lol), but passed on it. THEN I saw the bag you shared, and I was ready to take a bullet but it’s currently out of stock. LOL. However, I did see this, https://www.cos.com/en_usd/women/accessories/bags/product.nylon-crossbody-bag-blue.1099201004.html , which I hope is a better quality than Uniqlo. In my cart it is. LOL

This classic LEMAIRE bag, the smallest of the Croissant Bag family, is made of smooth nappa leather with a soft touch.
I have one in tan-brownish color which is the color of a real croissant, leather is super soft and yummy.
