I really like this blazer! I wish they still had XXS in stock as looking at the measurements, it looks seriously oversized. This looks like the sort of item you don’t think is that versatile but actually ends up pulling together tons of outfits – I also like that it’s a lighter material, unlike most of my blazers.
2. I usually don’t share recipes (because I am bad at cooking) but this instant noodle rice looks SO good and easy. I’m going to be trying this, stat!
3. Have any of you been watching the new SATC? I am really behind on TV (I just finished this last season of Succession) so I hadn’t gotten around to it. I thought this article, via the NYT, about how the characters seem utterly baffled by middle age, was interesting.
4. I really loved this piece, via the NYT – Notes From the End of a Very Long Life.
5. This week I read Lemon, by Kwon Yeo-sun.
I liked this very much. It isn’t for everyone – it’s a murder mystery, but not a thriller, more of a character study that is rather disparate. I loved it though. If you like novels set in South Korea (this is a translation) and slow burns, I recommend Lemon.

January 7, 2022 at 10:25 amSpoiler Alert.. And Just Like That scene with Mr. Big. I, like many others, was baffled by it. Her standing there not frantically calling 911, him dying. But I did read the reasoning behind that scene. Basically they wanted to do a Bonnie and Clyde moment where they gave each other a look and new it was the end. Well, the reviews didn’t see it that way. I don’t think a lot of people watched Bonnie and Clyde. What is interesting is Peloton sales may have tanked that week, while owners tried to get rid of theirs. They didn’t want to end up like Mr. Big. Overall, I think the show doesn’t mind the controversies like Kanye West. Any publicity is good publicity, right?
Have you heard of the new variant popping up? 46 mutations versus Omnicron’s 30 mutations? B.1.640.2 Hopefully it is as unconcerning as scientists think. So far only 20 people are infected so it’s a slow spreader.

There are plenty of moments that I question, but the author of the article analyses it like she would an article in a scientific journal. It’s a TV show, not a treatise on middle-aged women! I am enjoying most of it. I am not looking to learn anything from it, nor am I fact-checking references.
Don’t be put off by what you read…try it, and either continue or don’t.
