Weekend Update

1. This week, sharing these excellent Gucci loafers.

I love these! The big chunky platform, the classic shape otherwise, the horsebit, the little detailing. Well I like everything EXCEPT the price, which is over $1K with tax, which I dislike almost as much as the fact that these are basically sold out. Ugh!

2. Thank you to JK for sharing this article, via the NYT, about a big messy $$$ Silicon Valley divorce going on right now. Until Succession comes back on, these pieces are all I have!

3. Posting this piece, via the NY Times, about why the cotton tote bag may not be as green as we think. This was a little depressing to me! I’m definitely a cotton tote fan (and cotton fan overall). The end conclusion: we just have to reuse as much as we already have

4. A good article that spoke to me, via the Atlantic: The Parents Are Not Okay.

5. This week I read Second Place, by Rachel Cusk.

I am a big fan of Cusk. I think I’ve read almost everything she’s done. Her writing is quieter, more thoughtful. The sentences are always spare and lovely. If you are looking for a literary fiction read and especially if you’ve enjoyed any of Cusk’s past work, I highly recommend Second Place.
