Weekend Update

1. This week, sharing these earrings (which I like so much) from Mateo.

I love these! I think they look so chic on the ear. It’s the sort of item I’d look for on Etsy but be unable to find and plus I want to support the designer. The price is higher but not that high and it is 14K. It’s the kind of item I’d want to wear all the time!

2. I thought this piece, via the NYT, about a new newsletter called Glitz was interesting. I created a free account but might subscribe. I think something like this is sorely needed no?

3. I enjoyed this piece, via the WSJ, about the square toe shoe being back in style. I have a few square toes! They are more comfortable too.

4. I liked this piece, via the NYT, about claw clips coming back. I’m definitely attached to certain claw clips. I got mad because my husband always plays with them and broke my favorite one that way!

5. This week I read Lessons, by Ian McEwan.

I am a McEwan fan though I must admit that I’ve not been able to get through some of his recent books. But just from a sheer style perspective I love reading him, and I was really happy to discover Lessons as one of his (in my opinion) best works. If you’re a fan of Ian McEwan and are in search of a literary coming of age, I highly recommend Lessons.
