Weekend Update

Sale PSA: High rise denim shorts from Uniqlo, now under $10, a great thick tee from Everlane, now $24 (I dislike how they’ve started adding “E” to their shirts though this is pretty subtle), and a great midi dress from Theory, now 40% off.

1. This week, sharing a collection which has captured my heart.

YES. It is a Baggu x Sanrio collaboration. My. God!! I had recently vowed to stop buying Baggu as I have a bit of an addiction and I love quite a few of their products. But this is like custom designed to take my money. I am waiting for a Keroppi tote to come back in stock. And the pouches I was mulling on have sold out in the interim.

2. Did you watch Yellowjackets? I liked this piece, via Vanity Fair, about Melanie Lynskey and how she got ready for the Emmy’s. I didn’t know that only sample sizes (usually) get free dresses.

3. I enjoyed this piece, via the NYT, about the Telfar bag drop in Brooklyn.

4. Another piece, via the NYT, about how to wear baggy pants. I love baggy pants!! I’m so happy trading out my leggings for them.

5. This week, I read Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management For Mortals, by Oliver Burkeman.

I really loved this. The title is scary (basically we have on average four thousand weeks on this earth). But I really loved the message, of which there are several but it’s really about just not wanting to “maximize” your life all the time. Thinking that you have to go and check all these amazing things, places, off your bucket list. How the real joy is in your daily time with yourself, your family, your passion. If you’re looking for an inspiring read that will make you feel better about life and how to live, I highly recommend Four Thousand Weeks.

I love Baggu. I have the leather ones. I am so mad that they stopped making them.

I bought my first Baggu last week at your recommendation and now I’m swapping out the plastic bag I use after gym with a Baggu. Love it! I was also thinking of the Sanrio collab and may add – can you ever have too many Baggu?

The book sounds great – will look into it!
