Weekend Update

1. Hello! I’m a cheeseball and so this week bought this long sleeved tee (from the kid’s section!) for myself.

I like it! It’s not super stylish but also looks quite cool with leggings. It’s sturdy and thick cotton. If you want to celebrate America and look a little cheesy like me (and save some money from the adult prices), I recommend this shirt.

2. A fun video I enjoyed, about Camilla Rowe’s style, via Vogue. I really like Camilla Rowe, I always enjoy her videos and find her very glamorous. I could not name 95% of the big working models today though.

3. I know some of you have already read this NY Times piece on Annabel Yao, the child of the Huawei CEO. I did watch her video. If I were a young billionaire Harvard CS grad I don’t know if I’d be doing this. Then again I don’t do what I would be doing.

PS: I am watching Bling Empire. Are you guys all watching it? I love it and am so glad Asians now have a genuine entry in the reality TV game. My only beef is that the love triangle is so clearly fake!

4. A long, tragic read, via the LA Times, about the former dean of USC’s medical school and his possible involvement in a child’s death.

5. This week I read the The History of Love, by Nicole Krauss.

Wow! I really liked this one. It has been on my list for awhile. I don’t know how to describe it…there’s an old man, a young girl, a book called The History of Love…just read it. Krauss is such a powerful and gifted writer. If you’re looking for an excellent literary read, I highly recommend The History of Love.
