HAPPY 2021!! I wasn’t going to publish today but then I will have skipped two weekend updates! I’ll make this one short and hope that you all had a happy and safe celebration. Goodbye, 2020!

1. Today I am sharing my most recent purchase: these Vuori joggers.

I just ordered these! I gave in after months and months of Instagram ads after seeing them on a friend. They looked so good on them and she swore they don’t bag. Do I want to keep spending $90 for stretch pants? No but I am wearing them a hell of a lot more than my other equally expensive or more expensive pants.

2. Sharing this piece, via Town and Country, written by Carole Radziwill on her New Year’s kiss with Liam Neeson. Remember her on RHONY? I miss her (despite her falling off a bit the last few seasons). I still remember her blogs (blogs!) on the Bravo site. She was the only one who could really write. And this is a great piece. I’m happy for her.

3. Loved this piece, via the WSJ (sorry if paywall) about Kate Moss and her love for vintage clothing. To me nobody does vintage better than Kate.

4. Sharing this thought provoking piece, via The Cut, about the “Permit Karen” of Montclair. What do you think of the “Karen” phenomenon? I’m a mixed, mainly because all the actual people I know named Karen are quite lovely! The term has been helpful however, in allowing society an easily understandable way to classify the sort of ridiculous, hysterical, and sometimes downright dangerous behavior that has gone on too long. I’ve had my fair share of “Karen” encounters. You guys?

5. This week, I read American Heiress, by Jeffrey Toobin.

Yes, Toobin is that New Yorker writer who was suspended after that ah...Zoom “incident.” And yes I kind of found out about this book after reading that Toobin was an author and idly looking up some of his books. And then being drawn in by this title. Who isn’t fascinated by Patty Hearst? I’d always wanted to learn more about her and so was happy to pick this up – and it is really well done, great writing, very informative and interesting. If you’re looking for a good non-fiction read, I recommend you check out American Heiress.

Happy 2021!

    Happy New Year!
Carole writes beautifully, and yes, she was definitely one of the better Housewives – I can’t abide Bethenny or Ramona, fan favorites in Bravo-land and all. Alas, Carole broke up with the nicer, younger chef she was dating, and is no longer friends with Mr Cohen.
This, however? The idea of her and Liam dating? I can dig it.
