Weekend Update

Sale PSA: A pretty “Capri Blue” scented candle from Anthropologie, now 30% off, leather pool slides from Bottega Veneta, now 30% off, and perfect tan ankle boots from Mansur Gavriel, now 30% off.

Neiman Marcus (as well as the rest of the sites) is having a big sale – but with $50 off of $200 with code THANKFUL, which also includes beauty and fragrance!! A great time to stock up on items like Sunday Riley Good Genes, Tata Harper, or Diptyque goodies like this Tuberose candle or gorgeous pine candle (perfect for gifting).

Uniqlo has free shipping on all orders (always welcome) and some nice prices on items like their pile lined hoodies, ultra light down jackets (perfect for layering), and Heattech tees.

I also placed an order with Athleta, which has 20% off the site – some of my favorite items include a crop sweatshirt, the Soho jogger, and the Sutton jogger.

Ahh! And Reformation has 30% off the entire site. Has this ever happened before? I’m looking at their Creed dress, their New Balance collaboration, and Holland trench.

Happy Thanksgiving week (For those celebrating!). I hope you all had a wonderful evening and for those traveling, got there on time!

1. This week – sharing an adorable pair of Vans slip ons – sometimes I wonder why I try to buy any casual shoes other than Vans.

These are so adorable! And would be great with black pants, leggings, you name it – and are super easy to, slip on, and come with an extra cush insole. I already have a few pairs of Vans I’ve picked up in the last year, otherwise I would get these right away – although I still might.

Nordstrom also has a great promotion going on, where you can get up to a $100 gift card with purchase

2. Sharing this Vanity Fair piece, with lots of new goodies about the fall of WeWork. This is my new Theranos.

3. A piece, via the NY Times, about whether how a “5” vs. a “6” on a bronze sculpture could mean the difference in millions.

4. Loved this fun piece, via Jezebel, about BravoCon. Do you love Bravo? I do, but due to time restrictions can only manage a few of the Real Housewife franchises each year.

5. This week, I read H Is For Hawk, by Helen Macdonald.

I’ve been going through a memoir phase. I’m not usually a memoir reader, but I’ve been reading more as of late; the latest was Macdonald’s. I have to admit the premise didn’t seem like so much to me – grieving her father’s death, Macdonald decides to train a goshawk. And yet this book was insightful and incredibly absorbing. If you like memoir, nature writing, or just beautiful writing in general, I recommend H Is For Hawk.

Uniqlo’s collab with Marimekko is so cute ?
Matt Levine @ Bloomberg has been making fun of WeWorks for ages in his daily column! Unlike Theranos they weren’t outright lying, just very.. delusional..? Mr Levine is sharp and witty if you haven’t found him yet 😀
