Happy holidays! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas/holiday season and that you are all enjoying some well deserved time off of work. This year is the first in a long while where we haven’t traveled over the Christmas/New Year’s break, and I’m enjoying the time at home, catching up with friends/family and gorging on a truly irresponsible amount of See’s Candies. I think I’m the only one in the store who is shopping for themselves.
I know I’ve been a bit sporadic with posting lately, so thank you for your patience as I hope to get back to a regular schedule soon!
1. Instead of a sale PSA today, I decided to share some of my favorite finds from the after Christmas sales. There’s a lot of great items out there, and please share your finds in the comments as well!
(left to right) –
Stuart Weitzman “Guard” boots, $293/50% off. It’s hard to find Stuart Weitzman boots anywhere close to 50% off, especially in classic black styles. This is a rare sale and I’d pick up these boots myself if I had longer legs.
By the way, the classic Weitzman 50/50 boots are also 50% off for a limited time – sizes are limited so I’d bookmark and keep checking back!
Jimmy Choo Classic Biker Boots, $804/30% off. These boots are usually never discounted. They are my favorite, favorite winter boots. I’ve had my pair for four years, paid full price and never regretted it. They are the best.
(left to right) –
PJ Thermal Nightshirt, $29/40% off. Super cozy especially with slippers and a robe, lounging around the house. I have the one that looks like it’s dotted but the dots are actually cat faces. Ha!
Vince Peacoat with Removable Coyote Collar, $780/40% off. A super classic coat that I think you could wear for years. I love the silhouette and colors (gray and blue) that this coat comes in, as well as the removable fur collar. I just think it’s the perfect chic coat and I’ve always been satisfied with Vince’s quality.
BCBG Embellished Lace Dress, $276/25% off. A perfectly flattering dress that is perfect for holiday parties and which you can still wear to weddings without anyone possibly mistaking you for wearing white. Beautiful, sexy and chic.
2. Those looking to slim their closets down as a New Year’s resolution may find this article interesting, via NYMag – How I Broke Up With My Clothes.
3. This article is an oldie but goodie, and I was reminded of it the other day when I spotted the protagonists out and about in San Francisco. A fascinating read about two high achievers and the missteps they’ve faced along the way – Sex, Lies, and Lawsuits.
4. I’ve had some excellent and all too rare couch/TV bonding time to myself the past few days. I normally never watch or particularly like kid’s movies (except for masterpieces like Toy Story 3), but due to some good reviews I remember reading, I decided to watch The Lego Movie. And wow, did this movie surprise me. It’s awesome! I really enjoyed it and would happily watch it again, any day. A recommendation for one and all.
Happy holidays and again, thank you for reading!

December 27, 2014 at 10:11 amhappy holidays! curious to know your thoughts on valentino rockstud pumps… classic or a trend?
Katherine
December 28, 2014 at 10:06 amCan I cop out and say “classic trend”? I like them and have for seasons but I wouldn’t necessarily buy a pair now unless it was just the classic black.

December 29, 2014 at 8:13 pmMerry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I love that gorgeous BCBG dress. I’m always a sucker for a versatile classy but unique dress … not that I need any more dresses and can’t fit into anything normal right now anyway, but I can look! 🙂
