Some More Resale Finds

Sale PSA: The perfect Theory stretch silk tank, now 30% off, these great heeled mules from Madewell, now 25% off with code STOCKUP (I also ordered these to try out and I’ll review), the perfect lipgloss from Tom Ford, now 15% off, and a pretty peasant dress from Faithfull, now 40% off.

Forgive me. I am working on some longer posts (how to start on a manuscript! An index that I keep claiming I’ll have ready, of all my recommended books!). But in the meantime I have some major childcare gaps going on (filled by yours truly) and I keep getting distracted by one of my favorite past times, resale shopping. So, here are some recent finds.

Hermes Picotin GM, $2075. Oh do I like this one so much. First it is in one of the best greens Hermes has ever done (and I really love green as a “pop” neutral). And the GM size is wonderful and fits tons and actually can function as a shoulder bag, unlike the smaller Picotins. A great price and so beautiful.

The Row Leather Jacket, $435. It’s The Row so you know the leather is going to be prefect, too. If you’re willing to take the risk of no returns, definitely worth a shot. And those of you who need a size bigger – here’s another great one!! Know that this jacket (or one very very similar) is a little less than $3K in stores now!

Van Cleef Letterwood necklace, $5035. Less than retail for a classic piece. And I love letterwood for a slightly warmer look, but it still looks black in most lights (like here) and can pass for black. The wood does darken with oils so know that if you are considering but I actually love that about the material.

Hermes Mini Plume, $3100. I know I’ve already shared one of these before. But this one is in bleu electrique – one of the best colors. And I like using small accessories to have a splash of color. This bag is so great! Why is it not so popular? Well, I guess the regular Plume isn’t so popular either, which is why there’s lot of great deals there, too. Like for this red box one.

Yves Saint Laurent gown, $180 with code REAL. I LOVE shopping for gowns. Isn’t this one great? The back is even better! A reader suggested that I use Rent the Runway which is a great idea but I feel like there are so many great evening dresses on TRR for not that much more than a rental fee. And you get to keep it, and often from a designer that is crazily priced in stores.

Hermes Lindy 26, $5750. Okay the price on this one, while decent, isn’t great. But it’s swift, which is a more expensive leather, rouge grenat, which I love, the hardware is gold, and the interior is orange!! UGH. If they’d had this one available when I got my black I would have selected this for certain. One thing I just noticed on Fashionphile is you used to be able to know the exact date that an item went on discount – now it seems like you can only sign up to be “notified” if it gets discounted further? I no likey. Anybody else a regular shopper and have thoughts?

That Lindy is delicious! Unfortunately I already have a gorgeous Rose Azalee Lindy in the same size and I generally don’t like to repeat bag designs (exception made for only a very few designs ie. Birkins, Kellys, and some Celine bags). But the temptation though! Sigh.

I absolutely adore both the blue and the red Plumes. I wonder if that says something negative about my taste … 🙂
