This week marks the third year anniversary of this blog. Hip hip hooray!
Each year I like to ask for comments and suggestions for what you would like to see on Feather Factor, and this year is no different. If you have any suggestions, feedback, comments on this blog or what you’d like to see on it – please feel free to leave them in the comments, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I truly appreciate any input you have.
This year, I also want to add my little plug for blogging in general. I receive quite a few emails and questions about starting a blog, and my advice is – if you are thinking one of – just do it! You can make it private at first if you aren’t comfortable with a wider audience, or just write about a specific niche, or go by a nom de plume for privacy. You can update it everyday, or just when you have time. Yes, there are tons of articles out there about why blogging is and isn’t dead, and yes, blogging can be a lot of work, and sometimes thankless. But nobody will give you more thanks for having a blog, than yourself. I have found blogging tremendously rewarding. I have met wonderful people through this blog, both online and in “real life”. And I have learned so much from my both my blogging peers and readers (and even the occasional nastygram). Blogging has been 100% worth it.
Thank you for choosing to spend some of your precious time on this site – whether you’re simply a reader, a commenter, an emailer, or any combination of the three. I appreciate it very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
