I was so nervous when I got my wedding pictures in the mail last week. I have total confidence in the awesomeness that was our photographer Jose Villa, but even so was paranoid that I would be blinking or chewing or looking generally loony in all of them. I was really happy though with the result and want to share some with you all – am going to split up the posts week by week so I don’t go into wedding overload. I tried to caption each one so you could see what the experience was like:
Sitting by the tub in our suite at The Fairmont. I originally was actually sitting here reading US Weekly while one of my bridesmaids made a McDonald’s run – however I threw it in the bathtub for this photo so it looks like I am doing some deep introspective thinking!
A view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
My little Temperley reception dress.
The bridesmaid dresses (one is missing) and my reception dress.
My wedding dress! It was from Vera Wang and felt like it weighed a gazillion pounds.
My bridesmaids zipping me up. This photo always makes me laugh because I didn’t think to watch my weight in between my final fitting and the wedding date. As a result, I must have gained a few pounds because the zipper wouldn’t go up. Seriously. It was about 5 minutes of concentrated chaos with various bridesmaids yelling out, “SUCK IT IN! SUCK IT!”
In the end the inside zipper actually broke in the heroic effort but the outside zipper stayed intact so you couldn’t tell.
Tying the bow to my dress – in this photo you can see more of the lace overlay detail of the dress (which gets bigger and bigger towards the hem) which is a big reason why I bought this dress in the first place! This was also the time when my bridesmaids and I all realized that none of us knew how to tie a pretty bow. In the end our photographer’s lovely assistant did it.
The shoes I wore – I really wanted to get these sparkly Louboutin shoes that cost like a bajillion dollars, but in the end opted to get ones I thought I could wear more often. The black lace ones are the only ones I actually bought for the wedding – the rest are older.
Putting on the shoe. They are beautiful but dear lord did they hurt ~4 hours later.

Finally – in the dress!
Thanks so much for reading along with me on all my wedding progress – I felt so loved getting so many emails to see wedding pics so I hope you like them. Have a wonderful week!
