Seconds – The Evelyne TPM

Last year I shared how I purchased my first Evelyne TPM, in black with gold hardware. In the months that followed, I realized that I loved this bag so much, was wearing it so much nonstop, that I knew I’d like another.

I actually picked up this little red one last year but didn’t really use it until recently – I was saving it for when the weather warmed up (even though I think red’s really a year round color). I think I felt a little guilty for getting a second so quickly and so I left it in its box so that the black could get its air time – does this make sense to anyone else? Anyone?

The color was really hard for me to capture on camera – it is Rouge Casaque, which is a bright true red. Clemence with silver hardware. In person it’s a more saturated red than in the photos. I wanted this color for SO LONG and finally it popped up on the Hermes website, along with like 8 other Evelyne TPMs in all sorts of colors. I was trying to pick up another one for a friend and the colors were literally disappearing from my cart as I was checking out! They go fast.

I wear a lot of neutral colors, including all black, and so I love how even just the red strap adds some color and dimension to the outfit. The outfit is Elizabeth Suzann in silk crepe (Georgia top, Florence pants) and the shoes are older Manolo Blahnik but I actually just saw a version for $80 from Sole Society.

And then another view of how I usually wear it, the bag pushed into the back. Yes I usually wear it with the H against my body but I don’t care how you wear it and if you like it with the H out do so with pride! I already said it in my last review, but I really LOVE the Evelyne TPM – it’s honestly one of the best light little bags that is a TRUE workhorse and I would recommend it for almost every closet. Evelyne TPM I love you! One bag that I have no regret buying seconds of.

Omg yess…you have me totally eyeing a TPM. My husband recently gifted me a GP30 and then while in the boutique to get a twilly for the GP I bought myself a Herbag Zip 31 in Jaune de Naples just because I love the color so much. However, the Herbag is still sitting in the box so that I can spread out the enjoyment of newness a bit more. Haha.

I totally support multiples of these as I also have two Evelyn tpms (one a Rouge Casaque) & was eying a third on H.com. before it sold. They are so adorable & functional! I absolutely love them!!

I totally understand letting the new one acclimate to its new home while you wear the first one. The bag looks great on you!

Your review of your first one pushed me over the edge of H to get one – it is truly a great bag with deceivingly more capacity than meets the eye. I wear the H against my body too, and have been complimented and asked several times ‘what brand is that? it’s so cute!’ Love the red on you, and that outfit!

Kat, speaking of compliments… could you write about what items, i.e bag and jewelry, you have received the most compliments on in person one of these days? It is always interesting to find out what item catches most people’s eye IRL as most items online look a lot different in person.

Or a segment on what bags and jewelry you love versus you regret purchasing would also be great!

I know you addressed your comment to Kat 🙂 , but if I may chime in, I wear a variety of H bags (Birkin, Kelly and Evelyn mainly) and some Chanel, and they rarely get a mention. But every single time I step out with my one and only Gucci tote, I get a ton of compliments. I imagine it’s because Gucci is having a moment and it’s also rather a busy print (Bengal Tiger). I just got back from a trip last week and received comments multiple times A DAY on that bag (nice, but I don’t like generating so much attention), I think I will be resting it for a while as a result. 🙂 Of course, this trip was in the U.S., and I find strangers are a bit more chatty/friendly so that could be it too.

I love the red Katherine. Red and Black are my favorite colors. Like you, I wear a lot of Black and neutral colors. I treat red as a neutral color. I wear it all year round. My hair is even red and black. I even lucked out and got a black bimmer with red seats. Red is my signature color and it looks good on you as well.

    Dear Kat,

I LOVE the red on you! 🙂 It looks stunning and, well, it’s supposed to be a lucky color so there’s that (hey, why not use all the extra luck we can get?) 🙂

How nice of you to pick up a TPM for a friend – do you normally buy HOP online? I suspect it would be easier but have never done so. Perhaps a post about it?

Also – not sure if this is the same ES outfit you posted about where you took selfies in the full length mirror, but this outfit and that Zara jumpsuit you wore to the fundraiser both look so flattering on you!

I suspect one day we (hopefully) will have a post of the rainbow of TPMs you have! 🙂 It’s such a perfect fit and size for you and looks amazing – aside from being super functional and

    xx

thank you for sharing! I was wondering if you use an insert for your TPM. If so, is there one you would recommend?

I don’t! I just don’t want to take up more space inside the bag as it’s already small.
