Weekend Update – Black Friday

Hi and happy Thanksgiving for those celebrating the holiday! Apologies, this week no traditional weekend update but I have put together a large sale list with selections from various shops – I’m starting off with Nordstrom, Net-A-Porter, Matches, Saks, more of the usual suspects – will be updating this throughout the weekend hopefully. I wish you all a wonderful holiday and an excellent long weekend!

Madewell: 25% off almost entire site (but not cashmere, ugh!). Picks include the Whisper cotton turtleneck, the velveteen miniskirt, a cropped sherpa camo jacket (on super sale with the discount), and the pretty Dashwood v-neck sweater, above.

Nordstrom: Tons on sale throughout the site, I’m focusing mainly on designer here: the Prada almond toe booties above, now 40% off, a pretty white eyelet openwork dress from Ulla Johnson, now 50% off, and a Frame fringe trim suede jacket, now 60% off.

Glossier: 20% off the entire site! I’m a recent convert to the brand – favorites include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, and I’m probably going to try the Milky Jelly Cleanser and possibly Glossier You

Saks: Lots of designer and contemporary. My picks include a long leopard print cashmere cardigan from SFA Collection, now $175, an adorable striped t-shirt dress from ALC, now just $53, Stuart Weitzman pearl studded sandals, now just $121, and the perfect navy slouchy cashmere sweater from Theory, now $255.

Matches: Up to 50% off with an additional 10% off. The classic APC half moon bag in tan leather, now 30% off, a zebra print wrap skirt from Ganni, now 40% off, and the Herno jacket above, now 50% off.

From my earlier post, some more picks on Matches – pretty red bow flats from Prada, now under $470, an oversized knit cable cardigan by See by Chloe, now 50% off, a slouchy alpaca blend sweater from Weekend Max Mara, now $175, and an adorable heart leather pouch/clutch from Anya Hindmarch, now $238

Reformation: 30% off the entire site! Right when you think you’re out, they pull you back in. My favorites include the Persimmon dress, the High & Skinny jean, the Hank coat, and the very sexy Zoe skirt.

Neiman Marcus: First, there’s a great $50 off of $200 regular price deal going on, which is great to use on certain gifts which don’t go on discount otherwise. I’m using it for two of these Diptyque sets – the three candles in the set are crowdpleasers and not the super duper small size either.

Otherwise, picks – A great merino/cashmere poncho from The Row, now $312, the very cute Tory Burch Brannan sandals, now $186, and low block heeled suede slingbacks from Manolo Blahnik, now $337.

Net-A-Porter: Up to 50% off. My picks include these pretty LOQ sandals, now under $200, (also how cool are these croc effect boots, now $262?), a floaty white dress from Zimmerman, now 30% off, the Wandler leather belt bag, now $420, the Ganni striped mohair sweater that was super popular (and very knocked off), now $264, and the Gianvito Rossi leopard/PVC pumps above, now 40% off.

Also, my picks from earlier: these Mansur Gavriel white pumps, now just $190 (selling fast, bookmark and check back if yours is sold out), Simon Miller lunchbag clutch, now under $250, and Miu Miu crystal embellished pumps, very wearable with a fun twist, 40% off.

Always enjoy reading your shopping guides and a big thank you for the head’s up on the Neiman Marcus discount code. I was at the Diptyque store earlier this week and fell in love with Eau Rose perfume but didn’t pull the trigger. Got it from NM with the promo along with a Feu de Bois candle (my favorite scent).

Curious what else you’ve spied at the Net-a-Porter sale. Love their sales but I find them a bit overwhelming.

Dermatore is having a really good deal too – lots of high-end beauty brands.

I’m sure you’ve been following the Dolce & Gabbana scandal – this fact is the NYT recap is incredible:
According to the Boston Consulting Group, Chinese consumers are currently responsible for 32 percent of luxury goods sales worldwide, a number expected to grow to 40 percent by 2024, at which point the Chinese will drive 75 percent of the growth of the global market.

Doing a Black Friday victory dance because I scored some *gorgeous* red suede Prada bow heels from Nordstrom at nearly half off! I hate having pricey items delivered due to the rise in theft at this time of year, so I’m going to be anxious until I get that box in my hands! Last time I ordered expensive shoes online, instead of buying in store, I had Jimmy Choos delivered to my former address and had to track them down. Not fun!
