After quite a while of season after season going by with not much going on, for some reason there are quite a few items catching my eye for fall. Have any of you noticed this too? Or is it just me? Here are some of the pieces that are top on my wishlist:
1. Theory Shearling Peacoat, $2295.
As a starting comment, this is quite expensive and I have no business buying it in California. That being said, I love shearling. I have always loved shearling. I am always looking for the perfect shearling coat. I have eyed this Acne version for years but it’s always a little too much, too big for me, I’m not cool enough to pull it off. Theory always does a nice understated version of whatever I like. That being said, I want to wait for sale. Saks has it for its Friends and Family but I’m not sure it’s enough!
2. J.Crew Wide Legged Pant, $168.
So gorgeous. I LOVE these. I hope my size makes it to a coupon code sale but I doubt it. Augh! It hasn’t qualified for the last two, either. I don’t even care that it doesn’t have a lining. There are quite a few items from J.Crew I have just waiting in my cart…waiting….waiting…
3. Gucci Mini Nymphaea Bamboo Tote, $1790
OK I have to admit I’m kind of scared on a lot of Gucci stuff, I’m afraid that if I buy some of the things I like, by next season I’ll still be thinking I’m super cool, whereas in reality I’m walking around town like some low rent version of Jared Leto. But I’ve been eyeing this tote for awhile, and I love this mini size and this gray color. So gorgeous and streamlined.
While we’re on Gucci, I’ve also been tempted by these patent white Marmont pumps, love the subtle white hardware and floral lining. I’m a sucker for hidden florals.
4. Frederic Malle Carnal Flower, $265
Finally…my current #1 obsession. Okay, not an item of clothing. But I LOVE this scent. But I’m a perfume person, I don’t know very much and my idea of reasonable pricing is still guided by my high school days and Tommy Girl (anyone remember)? I know this one is worth it but I still have to take the plunge.
