Sale PSA: A simple stacked heel suede sandal with good reviews from Caslon, now under $55, a very chic and sleek wrap dress from Acne, now 55% off, a very pretty bell sleeved silk blouse from Equipment, now 60% off, and a ruffle sweatshirt from Current Elliott, now 33% off (give it a chance! I tried it on and it’s actually very pretty).
Bloomingdales also started their Friends and Family sale (I’m eyeing these platform sandals from See by Chloe), and a beauty sale for $15 off of every $150 you spend. I’m actually very into this sale because of all the extra free gifts – I love that Estee Lauder bag that you can customize.

I ended up giving up and ordering a second pair, only to find my original pair (before I had worn the second, thank goodness).
There is also this great pool sandal version that is more padded. I think the original is more sleek, but the pool slide looks more comfortable, with a thicker sole.
2. An excellent profile of Peggy Siegal, Oscars strategy extraordinaire, from the NY Times. I love the “game” that goes behind getting Oscar nods and wins each year and follow that with way more interest than the actual awards. So fascinating! Continue Reading
