Thanksgiving Sale Update – 2016

Hi everybody – happy early Thanksgiving (for those celebrating!). Designer sales have sprung early this year, so here are some of my selections – I will try to update throughout the week!

First up – Nordstrom. In my opinion, Nordstrom has not only one of the best selections this season for designer goodies, but the best prices as well. If you’re looking at an item on any of the other sites, try and see if Nordstrom has it as well, it might be cheaper.

Prada Suede Strappy Sandal, $510. Gorgeous, comfortable for the heel height, classic sandals you can wear year round.

Jimmy Choo Flat Over The Knee B0ots, $910. Jimmy Choo makes some of the best boots in my opinion. Classic black flat leather over the knee boots you will have forever.

Manolo Blahnik Ankle Strap Sandal, $446. Another great sandal! I love the stacked heel and more walkable height of this one. Comes in three colors.

Next up – Net-A-Porter. There are quite a few designer items here that I haven’t found other places, so check here for those Saint Laurent booties you were after, etc.

Theory Cashmere Blend Jacket, $417. I love this jacket. I have been stalking it for ages. I hope my size comes back in stock. This is one of those versatile pieces you’ll end up reaching for over and over.

Saint Laurent Monogram Suede Shoulder Bag, $1400. I was surprised to see this one in the sale as it’s a classic YSL piece.

Max Mara Leather Trimmed Wool Cape, $657. Fabulous fall/winter cape, love the leather trim, and you can’t beat textiles from Max Mara.

Next: J.Crew. J.Crew has a fabulous code right now, the first time I’ve ever seen the company do a 40% code (HOLIDAY). I’m a renewed J.Crew fan, there are so many great items available this season!

Ribbed turtleneck in Italian cashmere ($298 before discount): I love this turtleneck! The cashmere quality is the same as the “old” J.Crew that we all knew and loved, which makes sense given the price. The cashmere is good quality, and thick. I’m waiting for black to come back in stock.

Tartan plaid blazer ($298 before discount): Another great item that reminds me of the J.Crew of yore. Love every detail of this blazer, the lapel, the plaid, the buttons. I think that the buttons are more subtle in person, which is better.

Boat striped t-shirt with built in cuffs ($45 before discount): I have both colors of this tee, so cute and a must have for stripe shirt addicts. The red striped is my favorite because the blue cuffs are softer.

Neiman Marcus. Neiman Marcus has a lot of items, quite a few which aren’t available on other sites, however the discounts may be slightly smaller (I’ve been finding 35% off, versus 40% off, for example). There’s a lot worth checking out still though!

Vince Shearling Lined Jacket, $450. A great price for a genuine shearling lined jacket, likely due to the outer not being leather. I don’t mind – I like this take, and it’s softer and cozier than leather.

Bottega Veneta Rose Gold Crossbody Bag, $1106. A must for metallic lovers. Bottega did a great rose gold this season, really gorgeous, and worth checking out in person. Definitely a statement piece, though the classic weave softens it.

Prada Chunky Heel Sandal, $502. I’m crazy about Prada shoes this season – I find so many of the designs really wearable and chic. I love the double strap on this one, adds interesting detail.

Please share what you’ve snagged so far from sale! And once again, Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, J.Crew has really come back! I just ordered a simple gold necklace (the Gold Circle necklace on the 20.5″ chain) from them with the code. This is the first time I’ve bought jewelry there so fingers crossed. I can’t believe how early the sales started this year. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

    Dear Katherine,

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the wonderful posts – I haven’t been able to comment but I have been reading! To recap: yes, I’ve heard of Philipp Plein years ago and am surprised by his tenacity. He has been around for a while but kudos for him for getting to the level where he’s got celebrity endorsements. His style is not me but I am impressed how far he has come. And I use paper notes – personally I like Smythson covers but I do not like their paper quality, so I usually stick with Moleskine and a custom leather cover I had made years ago which still works fine. 🙂 Loved your beauty post, too!

One of the things I am very grateful for: your blog and your dedication to great posts! Thank you!

Happy long weekend and happy shopping!
