Designer Sale Update – Spring 2016

My favorite part of sales has begun – aka second cut, across the board basically at all retailers now. I’ve been sharing some of my favorite selections through my sale PSAs, but have been doing so much shopping that I thought I’d do a little mid week update of some of my finds. Please share what you’ve found this sale cycle so far as well!

Public School patent trim trench, 60% off./$398 A classic piece of outerwear. Love the longer length and the black/navy combo. I’ve tried this on, and it is a looser fit.

Prada butterfly print clutch, up to 60% off/$515. A beautiful and fun little clutch you can tuck into your bag as a pouch, taking out to use as a handy clutch when needed.

Altuzzara leopard print dress, 60% off/$414. Simply beautiful, and at a decent price. Altuzarra does some of the prettiest, most feminine dresses around. This leopard print one is a classic that you can wear forever.

Clare V colorblock clutch, 50% off/$118. Love the red white and blue colorblock, and a fun clutch option at a very reasonable price.

Armani cape jacket, 60% off/$598. I really, really love this jacket and wish I had a formal office I could wear it to. Its a traditional suit jacket, but with a twist – and I think it’d go very well with dark denim as well. Beautiful!

Manolo Blahnik ankle cuff sandals, 50% off/$366. These come in camel and black suede, and are beautiful high heeled summer sandal options that you’ll have forever. Great reviews, too.

Ann Demeulemeester wool drape coat, 60% off/$820. A classic black coat with some great architectural design details. A mix between a trench and a coat – and I love how comfortable it looks too.

Chinti & Parker striped cashmere sweater, 70% off/$174. A great fall/winter staple at a fantastic discount. One of those cozy sweaters you end up wearing a ton on lazy cold days.

Gucci platform clog, 60% off/$391. I love floral toile print and the black/white colorway makes it a bit less feminine. If your size is out I’d keep checking back as I’ve seen this come in and out.

Carven embroidered mini dress, 70% off/$201. See, this is an example of a great classic item which has somehow landed on deep discount. A classic little black dress that you can wear forever, from Carven, and at what a price!

Akris Punto technical cotton trench coat, 60% off/$676. Classic trench which you can wear forever. Love Akris and Akris Punto both, and I’ve noticed that classic items from the brand tend to usually make it to second cut discount (though small sizes go quickly).

Stella McCartney floral dress, 60% off/$452. I have this dress in another print and love it. I’ve been stalking the sale links for this one, trying to catch my size again, although I really don’t need another iteration. I just love the contrast florals on this version.

Jimmy Choo Aurora pump, 60% off/$300. An elegant, lower heeled pointy toe pumped option. Very classic and almost sold out – I’d keep checking back if you are after a certain size.

Kate Spade straw bag, 33% off/$240. This is the only item I’m sharing that’s less than 50% off, and it’s only because I have a thing for this bag. I just think it’s adorable. Not so practical sure, but kind of awesome. Definitely a conversation piece as well.

Etro lace border paisley scarf, 55% off/$266. I love Etro scarves – I think the paisley designs are always so beautiful and unique, and there’s always something special about each one. This is a beautiful iteration at a good price. A nice lightweight scarf option.

I’ve been stalking that Stella McCartney dress too–fingers crossed it pops up again in my size. I adore that Ann Demeulemeester trench. I’m not sure I understand the EU sizing; is it really that different than Italian sizing?

I totally agree about Etro scarves–I own two and I find that they really elevate an outfit.

    Hi Katherine,

Noticed the new addition of the little feather at the top of my web browser. Super cute!

    Love the new look!

I snagged a pair of gucci horsebit loafers (in black!) at 60% off from saks…. honestly I wonder if it was a mistake, but I’ll take it! Also, a pair of APC wedges from shoescribe. I think shoescribe has very good sales as does ssense (although stuff tends to go very quickly). I’m now also stalking that stella dress- it would be sooo perfect for weddings this summer. Do you find the sizing true?

That’s an awesome deal!! I’m so jealous. I took at 38 in the Stella dress and it’s perfect on me, I find a lot of Stella items run a little smaller. I’m a 0 in most brands.

PSA: Some of these items are now at 70% off at Nordstrom (limited sizing of course)! By the way, love your blog. Your posts are always very thoughtful and informative, and introduce me to items (whether fashion, books, or articles) that I would not have found or selected on my own. Plus there are never any sponsored posts, which is why I continue to read and follow. Keep up the great work!

Hi Katherine – I bought the Gucci platforms – such an enabler! But they are wonderful 🙂 especially as I am now all about flared jeans! Thanks for the tip 🙂
