Weekend Update

Hello hello! Here are some of the items I’ve been reading and enjoying.

1. As I actually just arrived from Europe this very morning (finishing up my last bit of travel for the year…yahoo!), I thought I would share this article reminding us about how air travel has evolved and how awesome it is that we can travel anywhere in the world in such little time. Actually on that note, I’ll also include this very funny and insightful video for anybody who hasn’t seen this classic Louis CK bit.

2. Even though I have been highly enjoying my Eberjey pajamas (my review here) and wear them for most of the year, the cold has driven me to add a few pairs of flannel pajamas to my closet. They are so comfortable and I have to admit that it’s very satisfying to wear a fun print while lounging in bed and drinking tea in the morning. These are my current favorites, via PJ Salvage. The price is good too – under $60!

3. Did you ever own a Juicy Couture tracksuit? I did, and I remember being so proud of it for years. Every time I’m trapped at the airport in stiff jeans I still mourn the days when wearing one of these was publicly acceptable. This was a very interesting read about the rise, and fall, of Juicy Couture.

2. Ever since my dad gifted me a membership, my latest retail obsession has been Costco. My greatest joy is comparing how much I used to pay for groceries and how much cheaper they are at Costco. I am driving Mr. Feather crazy because I always drag him there on the weekend with promises of free samples, and we end up spending 20 minutes finding parking and then get bashed by aggressive shopping carts for an hour. Still worth it though.

Anyway, if you haven’t tried them already, I would highly recommend picking up these truffles from Costco. They are so good, super high quality and you cannot beat the price! Something like $17 for two of these bad boys. I am giving them out in small treat bags as office holiday gifts. I think they are only available over the holidays, by the way.

Enjoy your weekend and if you’re off for the rest of the year, enjoy your holidays as well!

    Katherine,
Thanks for the pj recommendation. I’ve been looking for some warm and cute pjs for a while and I think I’ll give these a try. How’s the sizing of the PJ Salvage pjs? I wear a 00P at Loft, Ann taylor. Do you think XS would be big for me? Merry Christmas!

Hmm. I think it depends on your height – they are a wee bit too big on me but that is OK because they are my super cozy PJs 🙂 However if you are that size and also 5’2 or below you may find it a little bigger!

Love the weekend updates! Pajama sets are my latest love. I just went with a flannel pair from Victoria’s Secret, of all places, and they are so comfortable, have held up great in the wash, and they come in petite!! They’re on sale now too!

Great read on Juicy. I totally had a track jacket (couldn’t afford both the pants and jacket :P) throughout highschool and was so proud of it!

I used to have a juicy track suit too, lol. I miss them, so comfy!

I love Costco, except for the aggressive shopping cart people, guess they’re everywhere. I like their frozen organic vegetables, mozzarella cheese, bacon, and butter. We always load up on those. They’re such a good deal and delicious too.

Those PJs are really cute. I love truffles and plan on trying the Costco brand. Trader Joes has some pretty amazing truffles too.
