Splendid Stripes

I have a big, big love of t-shirts. Seriously, is there any more comfortable item of clothing on the planet? The best ones for me are cotton and just a wee bit big, not too tight so they aren’t constricting, you can wear them all day and dress them up or down.I really have a thing for plain white, and striped tees. I recently have a new favorite and wanted to share with you:

This shirt is from Splendid, who I think make some of the comfiest shirts out there. Actually I take that back – I once tried on a shirt from The Row that was pretty sweet at Barneys, those are on my list for if I am ever a zillionaire.

Anyway, this shirt is super soft, just the right amount of loose and I love that the sleeves have stripes going in a different direction – a nice little detail.

Any recommendations for other great t- shirt brands out there? Right now my favorites are from J.Crew, Splendid and Hanes Men’s.

There's no such thing as too many stripes (so says the girl who has a drawer full of them). Another great outfit, Kat.

I bought my first Splendid shirt during Black Friday last year and I adore it. It was a turtleneck and I'm planning to buy a lot more Splendid items. I bought 2 Eddie Bauer Crew Neck shirts at Sam's Club that are very comfortable, it could rival with Splendid and at 1/5 of the cost ($9.99 per shirt).

This is a pretty shirt. I love splendid pieces too…I've been wanting to check out stylemint, but I've so far not bitten the bullet. I've seen those tshirts a bunch of places though.

Surprisingly, my favorite tees are from American Eagle. They’re very comfy and available in many color choices. Love the look of a striped tee under a white blazer.

I don`t personally have any brand recommendations for you, because I am happy with my local smaller brands. Though I wanted to say that I love the wider, almost boat like neckline on you. It`s so pretty to see the collarbones.

    Lovely combination!

I totally have an unhealthy obsession with striped tees and dresses. For t-shirts, I really love J Crew's "Painter Tees." Can't really do their "Perfect Tees" (crazy shrinking), but the Painter ones are very comfortable and come in a really nice selection of colors.

Hope you are having a nice long weekend!

I dont have anything stripped you know!! Mainly coz I read that horizontal stripes are unflattering and that has created this mental block for me! Guess I should think outside the box now 😉

You look lovely and yes t-shirts are ever so comfy!

Splendid is my favorite for summer beachy maxi dresses- sooo comfortable and well made. For t-shirts I am currently loving LNA- they're kind of pricy but I got a bunch on hautelook and I've seen them on there since. So soft, durable, and have such a flattering cut. Try them out!!
