After writing yesterday’s post, I really wanted beef noodle soup but decided to be responsible and eat up some leftovers from the fridge instead. Today I have designated noodle soup day though! I’m going over to my mom’s house later like a little brat to beg and cajole that she make me my favorite noodle soup. It’s basically just scrambled eggs, noodles, and soup but to me it tastes sooo good. It’s a childhood comfort food of mine along with plain white rice and soy sauce. Apparently as a kid I was a big fan of salt and carbs.

J.Crew jacket (love these here, and here!)
J.Crew top
Siwy jeans
VCA necklace
Hermes bag
Louboutin pumps

I took this photo yesterday to show you what I was wearing before it began raining. When I was walking back into my apartment though I noticed my shoes were faintly clanging and realized that I’ve worn these Louboutins into the ground, the heel tip metal is showing through! One of the heels is already pretty mangled from various encounters with street grates and it’s gotten way worse. I’m going to take them into the cobbler today and I’ll show you all a before and after when it’s done. I hope they can be revived. On the plus side I finally get to use some of these extra heel tips that I have rattling around in my drawers, I think the bag is very cute.

  8. I just love this look! (well all of your looks) My hope is to edit my closet with basic pieces like this that can be comfy and stylish. I've been thinking about those Siwy jeans since they look so great on you….I am pretty much banishing very low waisted rises and wondering if you like the rise on these jeans and are they super comfy? Thanks!

  15. Hi Lisa! Siwy jeans are SO soft and they are my favorite brand. That being said this particular style – Hannah – has a pretty low rise. If you want to try out Siwy I might do a different style with a higher rise…hope that helps!

  36. Ahh! Sidewalk grates have tried to eat my Loubs TWICE! My cobbler was able to glue the scrapped leather back down, so if you look from afar, you can't tell. Luckily not many people are inspecting the back heel of my shoes. I hope they come back looking brand spankin' new! Excited to see your before and after pics. =)
