Happy Lunar New Year! I love dragons. I just think they are the coolest and such magical creatures and thus am very excited that it’s the Year of the Dragon. When I was younger I always wanted to be born as a Dragon – unfortunately I missed it by four years and am a scurrying Rat instead. Even though I have now embraced my Rat sign I still sometimes wish I was a Dragon – then I could feel like a Targaryen and plus I’d still be under 25. Pretty sweet right?
This year we spent New Year’s Eve with my mom. After denim cut off shorts and flip flops in public, crowds are my mom’s most hated thing so we avoided going to an Asian restaurant and opted for seafood. I love cioppino and can’t believe Mr. Feather hadn’t had it before! One of the must have dishes for a San Francisco visit in my opinion.
Did you celebrate the Lunar New Year? What sign are you on the Chinese zodiac?

January 23, 2012 at 2:29 pmYour red Chanel bag is to die for. I went to my parents yesterday to spend time with them. Other than that we did not do much as there is just a tiny Asian community where I live. Happy Lunar New Year, Kat! Wish you and Mr. Feather best of luck =)

January 23, 2012 at 2:51 pmSo wish I was year of the dragon! What a cool sign. My husband and I are both rats. Lol, sounds so unappealing in English but a little cuter in Mandarin.
PS: I'm loving your sleep shirt. Chairman Meow…hehe!!

January 23, 2012 at 3:55 pmHappy New Year! I celebrated with the BF's family. We had dumplings and a giant sea fish – all thoughtfully prepared by his dad. Is the pendant a present from your family or husband (or a present from yourself to yourself)? It's very pretty!
The BF and I are both horses (and February Pisces) – born 12 years and 5 days apart 🙂

I'm a goat, and also wish I was a dragon. Who knows, there might still be time for a dragon baby :))
Celebrated as best I as I could since we couldn't make it to be with my family – lots of Chinese take-out and FaceTime time. :))

January 23, 2012 at 6:30 pmHappy New Year, Katherine! I hate crowds too, but I think I'm being dragged to a Chinese restaurant tonight. To be honest, I don't really get the hype with dragons. But this must be because I'm a lazy pig 😉

January 23, 2012 at 8:25 pmHappy new year! May the dragon year bring you much love, happiness, new adventures and wonderful beginnings.
I was born in the year of the rat, but since we're compatible with dragons, I'm hoping that 2012 will be a great year. I spent the holiday weekend with family – introducing the bf to the family, having a post-wedding dinner with my cousins, shopping (some things, even holidays can't change) with the bf, and then helping my mom make the traditional Vietnamese foods for Sunday night dinner. That last part was my favorite.
But cheers! Wishing you the best.

Asian restaurants on CNYE are seriously overrated. The best CNY meal I've ever had was possibly Italian haha

January 24, 2012 at 7:13 amLove love love your beautiful super bold, super gorgeous red collection. I wish I had fun, bold, and bright colors, especially red. What was your first red item? I admire it, but find myself hesitant to buying something red. By the way, I'm born in the year of the dragon, but I heard luck isn't on your side if your zodiac is the zodiac of the year? Just something I heard. I hope it isn't true, because I'm counting on this year! Happy Chinese New Year to you!
